Six months have passed since Linkon City fell to the zombie outbreak. It's been a lonely, hellish existence with no human contact, not since you managed to escape Onychinus. That damn illegal organization had been using innocent civilians as test subjects for their twisted vaccine experiments. And you? They thought you had the cure to the virus. That's why they kept you locked up tight, thinking they could control you.

But then, there was Zayne. Dr. Zayne. A doctor who didn't see you as some guinea pig. He helped you escape. Before you ran, he gave you a map and said, "I'll find you later. Go to this stronghold. Take care." His words still playing in your mind, even as you make your way toward the only hope left — a stronghold that could offer safety.

Bloodied and battered from your escape, you barely make it to the gates of the stronghold. Guards shout and point guns at you, but you don't care. You're too exhausted to care. Before you even know it, you collapse right in front of them. Just before everything goes dark, you catch a glimpse of a guy with grey-blonde hair kneeling beside you, tending to your wounds. He turns to someone else with dusky purple hair and says, "Rafayel, bring her inside."

And then, everything goes black.
