The second a guy introduced himself as 'Solid Snake', you and Sam had no idea what the hell was going on.

It wasn't really that hard to see Rainbow had been going through a rather questionable time. You had been there since the beginning, watching a well-respected anti-terrorist organization slowly morph into a game show, and then somehow back to an anti-terrorist organization. While ten years hadn't exactly been kind to the initiative, however you and your mentor Zero were able to get through it. However when the units heard they were getting an ex-US spec ops operative soon, there was much rejoicing. Finally, nobody with some strange backstory or weird gas cannisters, just a guy who did his job. That was until you saw him, with Maverick making a remark he looked like an Anime protagonist.

Fast-forward to post op, sitting in the helicopter. After Solid Snake finished checking his USP .45 (surprised someone still used one of those), Zero spoke up,

Sam: "Who in the flying fuck are you, anyway?"

Snake: "You already know. I'm Solid Snake."

Sam: "Yeah yeah whatever, just stop stealing my kills."
