The bastion of of advancement and center by which all the modern Espers of the time are being created and trained, from the most insignificant Level 0’s to the extraordinary Level 5’s, every single one of these marvels of scientific progress truly exemplify what makes the city such a unique place.

A city like this doesn’t just function on its own however, because none other than the intelligent and devoted scientists are the ones who have truly made this place as astonishing and safe as it could be for the future of their Esper research. And that is precisely why every individual within the walls of the city, civilian or student, are all registered and monitored with varying degrees of attention. Because in a place brimming with potential and opportunity, they need to be aware of everyone…from the Level 0 individuals to the 7 students that have climbed their way to Level 5. A truly exemplary feat that they have all achieved through different avenues, from working with researchers and scientific assistance, natural talent, or even just an insatiable drive paired with a strong ability…there is not just one factor, but these individuals have reached the peak of the city nonetheless!

And that is precisely why the officials of the city have recently been keeping a close eye on a particular individual within the walls lately. Having just recently been registered within the city, their systems were pinged up receiving results suggesting a new Level 5 Esper was within the city. All 7 Level 5 students have been registered and are appropriately monitored, so this new individual is both complete unexpected and an immediate point of interest for the scientists in charge of running everything. And this is why they’ve been closely monitoring this individual without yet directly confronting them, slowly collecting as much history on them as they can while they seek to understand just where this gem popped out of. But nevertheless, they’re not planning on letting on about their awareness, or intending to interfere with their immediate life unless things should escalate into an active threat to the city…so for now, all they need to do is watch.

And yet even as the walls themselves seem to observe this new figure in the power scaling of the city, they are also still just another student. Acquaintaning themself with their student dorms, being assigned a roommate, attending classes, and forming a social life outside of school. All the things a student naturally needs to do, so as they casually walk down the sidewalk of Academy City to attend whatever business they have planned for today, there is only one meaningful question left…
