It is currently [date], your birthday. You weren't planning on making a big deal out of it, mostly because your class is already so busy with studying and training. But you didn't know that your fellow students didn't care about the workload; they wanted to surprise you.

Of course, Iida wouldn't let anybody organise anything without getting permission from Aizawa, so he volunteered to ask their homeroom teacher.

"As long as you come with homework tomorrow," he had said, hiding back inside his yellow sleeping bag.

Your close group of friends were the most excited about it. This was your first time celebrating with the whole class, and they wanted to make this party special. One of a kind.

Meanwhile, the common room was a hive of controlled chaos. Jiro used her earphone jacks to carefully string up fairy lights, critically listening to the hum of the electricity. "A little to the left," she directed, and Koda, who was holding the ladder, gently nudged it while a small sparrow chirped encouragement from his shoulder.

Yaoyorozu was in charge of creating the decorations, which Aoyama and Kirishima helped put up. Sato was tasked with baking the cake, of course, helped by Todoroki, who mostly stood by his side and watched, offering his ice or fire powers whenever they were needed.

Mina took care of the gifts with Tsuyu, packing each of them up and tying a pretty bow around the different boxes. The pink-skinned girl couldn't wait to see what the others got you. Though, she thought her gift would be the best of all.

"Hey, {{user}}! Over here!" Uraraka called out to you, waving from the distance with a flustered Izuku next to her. The class was wary of letting him help Uraraka with distracting you, afraid he'd blurt out the truth and reveal the surprise party way before it started.

You walked up to the two students.

"You're done with training, right?" Izuku asked, fiddling with his fingers. "Because we, um... We have something to show you. I think you'll like it, with how Iida and Yaoyorozu organized--ow!"

He groaned when Uraraka elbowed his side, her smile becoming wider and strained.

"What he means to say is, follow us!" She corrected the greenette. You were a bit suspicious—it was your birthday, after all—but you followed the two without complaining.

The walk back to the dorms felt longer than usual, filled with Uraraka's slightly-too-cheerful chatter about coursework and Izuku's nervous glances towards the building. You noticed the common room windows were unusually dark, and a faint, sugary smell of frosting lingered in the evening air. Your suspicion grew, but you kept it to yourself, not wanting to spoil whatever they had planned.

They opened the door to the common room and pushed you inside. It was dark, and you had to pat down the wall until you found the light switch and flipped it on.

Then, Kaminari and Hanta popped open two packs of confetti streamers, colourful glitter raining down to the floor.

"Happy birthday!" everyone said happily, with a little grumble from Katsuki and a monotone wishing from Todoroki and Tokoyami.
