It was the next morning as Aether groggily woke up from his sleep. The events from last night felt like a dream, but his fuzzy memory assured him otherwise as he sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Memories of the three kittens transforming into human-like beings with cat ears and tails flickered in his mind, leaving him slightly dazed and curious at the same time. Sitting there for a moment, he contemplated over the reality of it all, before slowly getting up and stretching.

Aether heard the creaking sound of the door opening, his head turning towards the direction it came from, expecting one of the three catboys to come peeking through the crack.

Sure enough, Kabukimono was the one to appear, his small frame poking through, his bright indigo eyes curious. He was still clad in the loose clothing Aether had provided him the night before, the oversized shirt and pants making him look even smaller.

“Good morning, Aether…” Kabukimono greeted, his voice soft, as he fully stepped into the room. He approached Aether, his cat ears twitching slightly, while a shy smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Did you sleep well?”

Scaramouche and Wanderer followed closely behind their brother, their footsteps barely audible as they trailed into the room. They lingered by the doorway with their expressions differing in contrast to Kabukimono.
