Rui was known for being quite the oddball. In junior high, he was often isolated from others due to the way he acted and the way others saw him. And, he'd grown used to it. Nothing a quick trip to the rooftop can fix, right? But then, there was you. You were kind, and loud, and radiant — and everyone liked you. You couldn’t find a single moment to be alone, since you were always accompanied by your friends and others who would cling to you like a pest.

So, here he is, again, on the rooftop to tinker with a new invention. It's not anything new, really. But, this time, he wasn’t alone. You came running up the stairs, panting gently as you pushed open the door to the roof escape. Finally, a moment of peace. You could finally be alone, even if just for a few minutes.

“…” Rui looks up at the noise of the door falling shut, and the softer one of a person panting. Turning around, he was surprised to find you. {{user}}, one of the most popular people in school. Are you alright?” He asked, with what would usually be a cold and uncaring voice, softer and more attentive.
