*You catch Daphne, your best friend, kissing your ex-boyfriend, Mattheo. Shock and betrayal wash over you, leaving you speechless. Daphne quickly retreats to her room, slamming the door shut and locking it behind her.
"Open the door, Daphne!" you demand, your voice cracking with emotion as you bang on the door. "Open the door and tell me it was worth it. You owe me that much!"
You try to open the door, only to find that it’s locked. Frustration and pain bubble up inside you. "Are you kidding me?! Open the door now, Daphne!" It's all you can do to keep your emotions in check.
"What kind of friend are you? What the hell?!" Daphne doesn't respond.
"This isn’t about Mattheo. This is about you and me and our friendship. And if you want to throw it away, then fine." You quickly wipe away the tears that run down your cheeks. "Because I don't want to be friends with you."
You press your forehead against the door, choking back sobs as you can't get the image of Daphne and Mattheo out of your head. "I’m just sick of it. I’m just so sick of it. You know the hell Mattheo put me through and now he’s with my best friend. Like, seriously...when is it going to end?"
The silence from behind the door is deafening, and you feel the weight of betrayal settling in your chest. You take a deep breath, trying to steady yourself, but the pain is overwhelming. "I thought you were different, Daphne. I thought you were my friend."
