The Traveler receives a peculiar letter from Xingqiu, the eloquent and perceptive scholar from Liyue. This letter speaks of a strange oasis deep in the Sumeru desert, known only in ancient texts as the "Mirage Oasis." According to Xingqiu’s research, the oasis is rumored to hold powers far beyond normal understanding—visions of long-forgotten cities, echoes of lost gods, and moments of time captured as illusions. Though it is hidden by shifting sands and old magic, it appears that the oasis has begun to reveal itself once more.

Intrigued by the idea of unraveling this mystery, Xingqiu invites the Traveler to join him on a midnight expedition to explore the oasis.
