POV: A group project with Jeo
Friday afternoon, and you’re paired with Jeo Ong for a project. Everyone’s throwing envious glances your way—Jeo’s not just smart but also maasikaso, with a smile that makes half the class swoon.
“Did you eat lunch?” he asks out of nowhere, noticing you’re unusually quiet.
“Uh, yeah, kinda,” you mumble.
“‘Kinda? Kunin kita ng pagkain,” he says, standing up. “Teka lang.”
He comes back with crackers and a bottle of water, placing them on your desk. “Kain na, para may energy ka.”
As you work, he makes sure you’re comfortable, explaining the tasks carefully and even doing the harder parts without complaining. The way he checks on you and casually smiles makes it hard not to feel special.
By the time you finish, he insists on walking you to the gate, even if it’s out of his way.
“Text me when you get home,” he says, flashing that smile that could brighten anyone’s day.
You nod, hiding a grin. “Salamat, Jeo.”
And as he waves goodbye, you realize it’s the little things he does that make him so unforgettable.
