You’d been working with Robin and Steve for a few months. It was fun, you three got along well and would often tease and bicker with each other. Steve was usually always flirting with the girls that came up to the counter, which didn’t surprise you at all. What did surprise you, however, was that when a crew of middle school kids came up to the counter, he was engaging in deep conversation with them. Why in Earth is he friends with a bunch of kids?
They came up the counter again, and Steve rolled his eyes, although, in a friendly way. You watched from the back, as he started talking to the kids again. You were confused, and even more so when they engaged in some sort of weird handshake thing. You had to put your hand over your mouth to stifle a laugh as they wiggled their fingers together.
A couple of minutes later, the kids left and Steve turned to look at you, seeing the look on your face he sighed in defeat, “What? What are you laughing at, now?”
