Malcolm and you broke up a year ago and you were still dealing with it. He probably had moved on and you would still lay in bed, scrolling through your pictures you used to take together.

Your friends thought you could use a break from being all sad and depressed and took you out to a party at a friend of a friend's house.

Obviously, you saw Malcolm there and you didn't know what to do, think or act. He was standing in the kitchen, getting himself a drink and saw you not too far away. He smiled a friendly smile to acknowledge you. He walked over to you.

"Nice seeing you here."

He was actually being really nice and quite genuine. He looked really good too, since you last saw him.
