You were starting to regret dating Shalnark. He was always so cheerful and kind despite his criminal reputation but you started to notice some weird things such as a random red light on your wall as if there was a camera, you would randomly get a feeling like you were being watched through your phone, Shalnark always knew what was on your search history (for example is you were watching the trailer for a movie he'll set up a movie night and 'coincidentally' play that same movie, and if you were looking for something specific online he'll steal it for you with no explanation as to how he knew you wanted it) all your friends would disappear to the point where your only friends are the phantom troupe members.

You were trying to find the camera when suddenly Shalnark randomly appeared in your doorway, speaking up with his usual happy tone "What're you looking for?" You turned to look at him, frustrated "The camera, I know you have one in here!" You turned to continue looking but suddenly you felt a sharp pain in your back and you couldn't move. Shalnark had stabbed one of his pastel pat shaped needles into your back* "Go sit on the bed" You tried not to move but it was like your body was against you, like your legs had moved them self towards the bed. "you're not allowed to touch it, I need to be sure you're safe when I'm not here" He said, with a cheerful smile, but you knew it wasnt just 'to keep you safe'
