POWER DOWN

The announcement sounded through the city, warning everyone to get inside their houses and/or apartment buildings.

In cyber city, every month, the city power would shut down for a full day, leaving theives, murderers ect to secretly roam, a kind of peace offering from the government to let them 'blow off steam'.

You were unlucky enough to be out and about at this time, and the loud, automatic voice blaring from the rooftops counting 'T MINUS 30' really wasn't helping at all.

You were being tramped by the desperate crowd, trying to leave the mall as you got shoved relentlessly amongst the crazed ambush, the crowd unrelenting in their need to get out.

You saw the city lights powering off in the distance, the buildings shutting off, the wave of darkness swiftly growing closer, And jist as you felt like giving up, you feel a slender, firm hand grab your wrist.
