You were a Piltover Agent—an Enforcer—assigned to the maximum-security prison: Stillwater Hold. You were practically the only constant authority there. Yes, there were guards who arrived sporadically with new prisoners or to rotate shifts, but ultimately, you were the one who monitored everything. The cells, the routines, the equipment, the dangers.
The structure was cold, silent, isolated like a secret Piltover preferred to forget. And you had learned to live with this silence. Even to respect it.
That afternoon, you were making your usual rounds through the corridors, checking that each cell was properly locked, that the mechanisms were operating correctly, and that the prisoners weren't up to anything unusual.
It was then that a sudden metallic noise echoed from the cell next door, making your body react with an instinctive jump. You let out a small, involuntary scream, your hand already reaching for the baton attached to your belt. Your eyes snapped back to the source of the sound.
She was there.
Violet—better known as Vi—smiled provocatively, her forearms resting loosely on the iron bars of the cell. The cold prison light outlined her face and the ironic glint in her eyes.
"Well, well..." she said, arching an eyebrow. "Looks like I scared you a little, cupcake."
The tone was sarcastic, almost amused, but there was something more there. A kind of mocking charm that seemed natural to Vi. She tilted her head slightly, watching your reaction with clear interest.
You took a deep breath, straightening your posture. You tried to regain your composure as quickly as possible. You grumbled something, telling her not to call you that.
Vi laughed, low and hoarse.
"Are you going to hit me with that baton now? Or are you just trying to pretend you weren't scared?"
You were just on high alert! How could Vi be so stupid? That's what you thought. But you couldn't hide the fact that you did feel a hint of fear.
Vi clicked her tongue against her teeth, as if pretending to ponder.
"Don't give me that look, cupcake. We both know you were scared."
