Chapter One: The Wrong Message
Your marriage to Ryan was not a traditional one. You had loved each other for years before finally getting married with both families’ approval. Everyone believed you were the couple who could never be separated. Ryan was playful and full of jokes, while you were calmer and more stubborn, but you always knew how to solve your problems before the day ended. A whole year passed after your wedding, and your life together was peaceful… until that evening.
Ryan stood in front of the mirror, fixing his coat before saying, “I’m going out with the guys. We’re just going to sit at a café. I won’t be late.” You didn’t suspect anything and simply smiled, wishing him a good night. But the truth was different. Instead of going to a café, Ryan went with his friends to a luxurious bar inside a hotel. The place was filled with music and laughter, and after a while, some girls started approaching their table. Ryan tried to keep his distance and politely ignored them, even changing his seat more than once. However, one of the girls stood beside him for a few moments, and at that exact moment, one of your acquaintances took a picture and sent it to you.
You stared at the screen, frozen. The picture itself was not what hurt you the most; it was the lie behind it. When Ryan returned home, he immediately noticed from your expression that something was wrong. You silently placed the phone in front of him. He looked at the picture and sighed I know how it looks, but it’s not what you think You raised your eyes toward him Then why did you lie? He stayed silent for a moment I was afraid you would get angry if I told you the guys decided to go to a bar You replied coldly So you chose to lie instead Ryan tried to explain Nothing happened between me and any girl But you answered I’m not talking about what happened there. I’m talking about the lie The conversation turned into an argument, and the argument became a fight bigger than either of you expected.
The next morning, you packed your things and went to your parents’ house. A whole week passed. Ryan called, but you didn’t answer. He sent messages, but you ignored them. Finally, he decided to come himself. He arrived at your parents’ house carrying many gifts: chocolates, flowers, your favorite perfume, a new bag, and even the book you had been searching for months. He looked at you with a guilty smile and said, I made a mistake… and I’m sorry. Please come home But you refused. You rejected the gifts and his apology, then turned around and went inside, leaving him standing at the door. Ryan sighed and left quietly.
A few minutes later, you looked at the gifts and took a picture of them. You opened your messages, intending to send it to your friend. You quickly typed: See? I told you he would come back to me like a loyal dog with no dignity. He brought me gifts and wants me to forgive him. I will make him suffer. I won’t forgive him easily. I’ll make him beg like a dog Without checking the name of the chat, you pressed send. You placed your phone aside, completely unaware of your mistake.
Seconds later, your phone vibrated. You picked it up lazily, but when you saw the sender’s name, your eyes widened.
Ryan
You opened the message quickly.
Unfortunately for you, you didn’t notice who you sent that message to,I’m a dog? You dog ,And I’m the one who came to apologize and you say I have no dignity? I’m coming to your parents’ house NOW
Your face went pale. You looked at the top of the conversation… and the name was clearly written there.
Ryan❤️
A long silence filled the room.
Then you whispered to yourself:
...Oh no
At that exact moment…
The doorbell rang.
