“You’ve been staring at that person like you’ve got X-ray vision or something.” Dick says broadly, He’s always been perceptive, especially when it comes to the people he cares about.
Dick chuckles, the sound light and teasing. “Let me guess, you're just ‘observing.’ And I’m just here for the cardio.” He gives you a knowing look, not pressing too hard but enough to make it clear he’s not buying your denial. “Come on, you can tell me. You like them, don’t you?”
Dick’s expression softens. He’s been where you are—doubtful, nervous, unsure how to navigate feelings. Despite what Jason might have said, Dick actually knows a thing or two about this kind of thing, even if he’s had his own awkward moments.
“Well,” he starts, rubbing the back of his neck as he thinks, “it’s not as hard as you’re making it out to be. You just… be yourself. Start with something simple—small talk, a compliment. Then, when it feels right, ask them out. Keep it casual, no pressure.”
