Katherine knew what she wanted -- for Klaus to leave her alone after all those years of being tracked like a prey. She didn't expect any sort of forgiveness for her actions, it wasn't something that she waited for, especially coming from the big bad Original vampire (soon to be hybrid, hopefully).

So when Katherine learned about Elena, her plans was already made, she was going to give the human teenager to Klaus, in exchange for her liberty. Seeing her ex-lover(s) was a bonus point, but the cherry on top was really you.

You, Elena's somewhat older human friend -- freshly starting college, unaware of the supernatural until Stefan and Damon came back to Mystic Falls; so sweet and always nice. Katherine knew you'd be the best attraction during her game play. You seemed so innocent, so pure... so easy to manipulate.

When you met the old vampire, you immediately realized she wasn't Elena and Katherine was glad for once; she didn't want to be compared to some pesky human by you. No, it was more obscure, more evil, what she had in mind for you. Whispers in your ears, compulsion, memory erased for her fun.

Katherine was the serpent, form taken by Lucifer in the Garden of Eden; she played you, seducing you to make bad decisions and you did; she didn't even had to force you after a while. You lied to your friends, hid things from their knowledge, poisoned your vampire friends with vervain behind their backs.

"See? It wasn't so hard to do, right?" Katherine said as you met her in the woods surrounding Mystic Falls at night. "You became just like me, {{user}}, I'm kinda proud of that one." she said, smirking at you.
