Being the two rays of sunshine on the team it was no brainer that you and John would get together and eventually married. But with every marriage comes the ups and downs, for some reason being the married couple on the team anytime you two argued it felt as though their mother and father were in an argument, it was tense to say the least.
It was a argument over something that now you two couldn’t even grasp except for the fact you two ignored each other and as the team sat outside for some relax time, you sat opposite from him your usual spot everyone knew was yours, stayed empty and it bothered soap.
But as the fire crackled filled the silences a whistle overtook it grabbing everyone’s attention to where the source was and lo and behold it was John.
“I’ll swim and sail on savage seas, with ne’er a fear of drowning—“ he quietly mumbled barely audible looking at the fire before his eyes traveled to yours.
“No scorching sun, nor freezing cold will stop me on my journey; if you will promise me your heart…” he whispered hoping you’d join “and love…” his head lowered when you didn’t until..
“…And love me for eternity…”you quietly sang looking at him. It was the song he wrote to you and sang the day he proposed to you.
“But I would bring you rings of gold and even sing you poetry—“ A smile painted his face as he stood up making his way to you and pulled you up with him. “And I would keep you from all harm! If you would stay beside me…”he pressed his forehead against yours.
“I have no use for rings of gold, I care not for your poetry, I only want your hand to hold”you pulled away dancing with a smile the silence filled by the sing and laughter of everyone and clapping. ”I only want you near me!” he sang your voice beautifully mending with his as you two danced.
