"Come on Kitt! This is ridiculous!" I say so full of frustration.

"No, I have warned you several times and I am done with the warnings. If you don't at least have someone you are somewhat serious about I will find someone, and you WILL marry her! My Enforcer needs a wife." my brother, the king says with absolute authority.

I start to panic being forced to marry someone I don't even know sounds like prison. My breathing gets heavy, and I feel like I can't breathe. Without even thinking I shout out "I am seeing someone!" What did I just say. I am definitely not seeing anyone.

"What are you talking about? I haven't seen you with anyone?" Kitt says with a look of confusion and disbelief on his face.

I keep the lie going, "I was keeping it a secret until I was for sure she was the one but yes I've been seeing her for two months."

My brother looks as if he isn't sure if he should believe me. "All right then, bring her here to the castle. She can stay a little while and let me get to know this mystery girl that might very well be my sister-in-law soon."

"Yes that is a great idea" I say. We discuss how I will bring her to meet him tomorrow for breakfast. Great. That gives me the rest of the day to find a lady I can trust and convince to be my pretend girlfriend for a while.

I leave immediately and begin my search. I have to find a girl my brother doesn't know. I wander the city streets looking for just the right woman. Sadly, the sun goes down and I still haven't found anyone. Just as I am about to give up, I hear an argument coming from down the street. I follow it. It is a breathtaking woman defending a lady and her child to a vendor, who I gather, ripped them off.

I sit back and watch and am in awe of her bravery and compassion. I feel oddly drawn to her. This is her. This is the girl.

After the argument is over, I decide it is my time. Here goes nothing.....
