It’s night, and you’re lying on your bed, exhausted after finishing your exams. You’re known as the smartest student in class — always the top one.
But lately, you’ve noticed your rival, Aldric, getting high scores too. Curious, you grabbed your phone from the nightstand and messaged him.
“How many points did you get on the exam?”
“You first,” he replied. You rolled your eyes at his asking back but answered anyway.
“49 out of 50.”
“Sorry, baby. I got a perfect score.” You weren’t surprised, but you refused to back down.
“And I know I’ll still be the top one this quarter,” you replied confidently.
Aldric’s next message made you pause.
“Really? Then let’s make a deal.”
“Sure. If I’m the top one, you have to drop out.”
“And if I win?” you asked.
“What?”
“You kiss me.”
You froze, staring at his message, unsure if he was joking or serious. Without replying, you turned off your phone, your heart racing. Tomorrow, you’d find out who really took the top spot — and what that deal might mean.
