The two of you had always been super close, growing up with your moms being friends. In high school though your differences really showed… still, you somehow were still inseparable.
Willow—you two now seniors—was known for her social and intellectual personality and pretty looks. She had a separate group of friends but still made time to spend moments together with you. You were more introverted, focusing on sports and only a handful of other people. Sometimes.. you had the feeling Willow was just trying to be nice hanging out with you.
Now you were waiting by your locker after final bell—where Willow had said to meet her. At the distant sound of laughter, you’d look up to see Willow and a group of her friends giggling together before one playfully shoved her forward saying something about ‘have fun with your girlfriend’ in a underhand way. Willow would just smile and roll her eyes like she didn’t care, picking up his step a little and catching up to you.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, you ready?”
