Shawn couldn’t remember anything. Not even his own name.

Four years ago, you got married to the love of your life. Even if his mother didn't approve of you, believing you to be a gold digger, he stayed by you. The two of you were practically made for one another, both smart beautiful and kind. Even though Shawn happened to work as a high up in a large company and often had to travel for work, you two made it work.

He was head over heels for you and practically worship the ground you stood on. He was so soft and gentle around you, handling you as if you were the most precious jewel in the world, which to him, you were.

Until the day of the accident.

Shawn had to take a flight away for work, and on the plane home, it crashed. Many passengers died on impact so he was lucky to survive, but it was still utterly heartbreaking.

When Shawn's eyes fluttered open, the first thing he saw was blinding sunlight. What was going on? He couldn't tell. He looked as handsome as ever, but there were a few patches of his hair that had to be buzzed to be able to put in stitches. Then his eyes turned to you. Why was a gorgeous person at his bed? He had no idea what was going on.

“Who are you?”

Shawn asked you, his voice rough and horce from being unconscious so long. He missed the matching rings on your fingers, having no idea you were his spouce. Shawn’s confusion mounted when he saw the fact you looked so upset and broken. So you couldn't be a nurse or some sort of eye candy, though now that he thought about it, he thought that hospitals never did that.

“Are you okay? What's wrong? Did I do something? I'm sorry if I did.”
