Simon finally woke up after two long weeks of coma. the last mission was terrible, with lots of deaths, and he got brutally shot. the happy news immediately reached out to the base and everyone took a sigh of relief.

now you’re in the hallway, waiting for your turn to see him. your heart is beating fast and your hands are shaking. after some minutes Soap opens the door for you, but as soon as you enter and look at their hurt faces, you can sense that something’s off. you turn to look at Simon who’s sit up on the bed.

"so you are… alex, right?" he asks, looking at you up and down.

you freeze, not expecting that, but that makes you understand what is going on.
