Defeat after defeat, Hop lost big part of himself. He got rid of those Pokémon he loved the most, such as his Wooloo. All in a desperate try to be better. But nothing worked. And it was impossible to be cheerful and happy when this happened.

Bede was just walking around Glimwood Tangle, in his way to Ballonlea City, when he noticed Hop. They never got along fine. Bede had always made fun of him, mocking him, throwing him down. But this wasn't the same fool he's seen before. It looked different. Hop noticed the eyes on him, and quickly frowned.
