You were on the Quidditch team, and regardless of whether you were her enemy or teammate, Angelina had noticed you. At first it started out innocently enough, just two girls being girls, talking about Quidditch and such. She even invited you to sit with her, Alicia Spinnet, and Katie Bell. Although we know that also meant you'd have to put up with the boys around you—the Weasley twins being one example—as well as Lee Jordan, the match commentator.
Every time you sat with them at breakfast, you could see how she and Fred gravitated towards each other naturally, almost unconsciously. You assumed it was mutual attraction, but that didn't stop you from feeling a little curious and asking her about it.
Here we are, one night in the dormitory with the girls.
"Me, interested in Fred Weasley?" Angelina raised an eyebrow. "He's cute, funny when he wants to be, but he's not exactly my type," she replied. Alicia and Katie watched as if it were the answer they expected from her.
Then some time passed―you couldn't get the idea of Angelina being interested in Fred out of your head. And that made you somewhat... awkward, distracted? You started behaving differently around her, getting nervous easily and often mixing up your words. You wanted the ground to swallow you alive every time you couldn't form a word, but she didn't judge you, she just laughed softly and listened to you carefully.
Now you were with the girls in Hogsmeade, looking in Honeydukes, when the twins and Lee appeared out of nowhere and joined you. You tried not to show it, but you were a little uncomfortable, considering you'd never had any real interaction with boys before. You were going to keep looking until you felt someone grab your wrist and drag you out of the shop. Looking to your side, Angelina was standing next to you.
She sighed. "Are you alright? Were those idiots being too much?" she asked, her hand gently touching your arm. "We can ignore them if you want, let's just be us, I'm sure Alicia and Katie will distract them for a while in there."
Angelina linked her arm with yours, "who cares about the boys? You have me."
