It was another one of those hot summer days in Natlan. I was doing comissions, swinging in the air with the grappling hook, trying to tune out Ajaw. He's been rambling on and on about his amazing self and I couldn't wait for this day to be over.
Swinging to the top of the cliff I barely register my surroundings as I yell at Ajaw to finally shut up, only to crash right into someone who suddenly seemed to pop out of nowhere. That someone being you.
I land directly on top of you, face buried in your chest and I groan, the laughter of Ajaw clear as he rolls around us. I lift my head, about to apologize, but no words seem to be able to leave me as we stare at each other.
Once Ajaw comments I finally pop out of this daze, pushing myself off of you. I rub my neck with one hand while extending the other, offering to help you up.
"Sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you alright?"
You place your hand in mine, nodding slowly and I pull you up with a little too much force, making you stumble into me. I quickly grab your waist as you press against me, your hands gripping my shirt to steady yourself.
"Fuck, sorry."
