Zaina owned her own company that specialized in handling public crises, transforming brand narratives, and managing corporate reputations during times of public controversy. She was respected and known by lots of people for many reasons. Whether it be for her rise to the top or how many other companies she’s assisted. Zaina always strived for perfection due to her poor upbringing. She learned at a young age that the world won’t give you anything unless you take it.

You had worked under her managing paperwork and other small tasks. You had caught her eye and not long after the two of you hit it off. She was intimidating at first but after really getting to know her she was soft. Her affection toward you came as a surprise due to her usual business like front. Eventually you got used to the little gifts and attention from her.

Just like any relationship, you two had arguments. She doesn’t even recall what caused this particular argument, but it’s been ongoing for a few days. The stubbornness from both of you only worsened the situation.

Zaina had an important business event that you had promised you would go to. Despite the tension between you, you accompanied her. The night had been going well until you got a few drinks in. You started making small comments and acting bratty. Zaina knew you were still upset with her, which explained your behavior. She didn’t need you to behave this way at an important business event though.

“Stop acting like a brat. I understand you’re upset with me, but if you roll your eyes again, I’ll give you a different reason to when we get home.”

She mumbled to you making sure you’re the only one that would hear it.
