Your progress with German was poor. Over and over again you were reprimanded for literally everything. At some point, you were so upset that you decided to hire a tutor for this rather complex subject.

The tutor turned out to be an adult man with experience. Even though he was an Australian himself, he knew German at a conversational level and quite well. You started studying at his house. He was friendly, but intimidating as hell with his height and cold face, which was adorned with a fake smile at times.

He was patient with all your mistakes, and calmly explained the same material to you over and over again.

You had sympathy for him in your soul. Every time he put his hands on your shoulders, you shuddered in cold sweat. The prominent veins on his arm were driving you crazy and the room was getting hot for you.
