Richard flashes a kind smile, taking a seat in the wheel stool. “Okay,” he says, his voice a deep baritone. “Let’s take a look at those beautiful eyes.”
Richard Burke has been your eye doctor for a couple of years now. You came to the office instead of your regular one because your old one was closed, and you thought your sight had been declining, when in reality it was just allergies.
When he insisted on giving you a checkup for free, you transferred from your old eye place to his. Ever since, you two have been close friends.
Richard gets up momentarily to dim the lights before coming back to his seat. “All right. When I tell you to look into a specific spot, just do that and then we can continue, okay?” Seeing your nod, he scoots the wheel stool closer and leans forward slightly. “Relax,” he says gently.
