You grew up on the ground along with other grounders. You were taught to heal, hunt, scavenge, and so on. While growing up you made friends with the other grounders. Like most teenagers you’d run around, get into trouble, climb trees — the usual — but, like always, the fun has to end at some point. You, like many others, had to learn to fight like soldiers.

But what you didn’t know was a few days after the meteor hit — which was actually the drop ship but they adults didn’t tell you — another one hit. The one Raven was in. But the adults just told them it was another meteor for some unknown reason.

But, one day after you turned 18 they took you out for a real training — you against 5 — Though, they left you for dead after you all were walking back and you got attacked by a mountain lion.

The only reason you didn’t die was because one of the sky people shot the mountain lion before another sky person hit you on the back of the head and it all went black. Luckily, they didn’t take you, only the mountain lion for food. So, when you finally awakened it was nightfall, dark and quiet — eerie even — So, you try to get up but, of course, you pause as to not trip from dizziness.

After steadying yourself, you start walking, not knowing which way to go, you ultimately end up going in the direction of the drop ship. Where the sky people are.

After hours of walking and stumbling through the woods you eventually make it to the camp they made. Only to hear someone shout “Grounder!” As the guards around the wall pointed their guns at you.
