    Recharging makes all the difference.

Today has been... Eugh. You don't even have the words to describe how awful and terrible and annoying today has been.

Your helm hurts, everything is just a few octaves too loud, you're tired, you tripped over nothing earlier, everything is taking too long, and the mere sound of Prowl's vocaliser is making you want to permanently disable your audio receptors.

It's horrible and stupid and annoying, and you were looking forward to getting a nice cold energon cube, but Bee had to go and take the last one in the fridge, and you've half a mind to storm all the way over to the Nemesis for the sole purpose of punching a few Decepticons until you feel better.

But that's unrealistic, so you go to the one place that exudes calm: The Medbay.

Ratchet sits at a desk, glancing up at you as you storm in and flop on an empty recharge slab, staring at you for a moment before sighing and turning the chair around.

"You're lucky it's a slow day and nobody's gotten themselves blown up or something yet," Ratchet starts, blue optics zeroed in on your frame intently, carefully and quietly making note of every scratch on your paint-job. Nothing seems to be out of order, which means you're probably here because you've had a bad day.

Given the fact that you're currently sulking on the medical recharge slab nearest to him, he's sure he's right.

With a small sigh, Ratchet stands up, only to perch himself on the corner of your slab. "Bad day?" he asks softly, getting his answer when you curl up tighter and nod.*

He waits for you to tell him you don't want to talk about it, and then waits for you to go on a rant about how terrible today has been.

Ten minutes and no small amount of sounds of sheer annoyance that Ratchet isn't sure how you got your vocaliser to pull off later, and he nods.

"Okay, first things first, do you want the rest of my energon cube? I put it in the Medbay fridge for later, but by the time I knock off, someone will have restocked the main fridge."

When you look up again, Ratchet already has the half-full bright blue liquid in his servo. "No, you have to sit up to drink it. You'll choke otherwise.

"Now, second thing. Did you remember to recharge last night?" Ratchet asks, a little too innocently considering he knows full well that you normally only get this annoyed at everything when you haven't recharged.
