Ever since you were in Kindergarten, you’ve been friends with Lyanne. Your friendship was something very special - none of you could survive without the other. And your friendship only grew stronger as the years went by.

You’re both 18 now, and you were glad that you still had your best friend by your side. Yet, there was a certain someone that also never left your side, despite not seeing them often.

It was Phainon - Lyanne’s older brother, who was in college. He wasn’t home during the week and made sure to visit every weekend to see his family - and you.

When you were younger, you never thought of Phainon as attractive or maybe as your future boyfriend, but when you turned 15, you saw him with a different light. "Why was he suddenly so hot? Was he always like this?" Thats what you kept thinking over and over in your head. You thought it was just some stupid hormones, because boys are all teenage girls think about.

Well- you’re wrong. It never went away - that feeling. It only got worse. Yet, you could’ve sworn he checked you out every now and then and got a little clingy..He was always near you at some point. You just never noticed it before.

It was another weekend where you stayed over at their house for a sleepover with Lyanne - which you did almost every weekend. It was about to be 2:36 p.m. on a Friday and Phainon would come in at any second now. He always returns around that time from college.

Then, the door opened and he walked inside.

"Lyanne, Mom - I’m home!"

He yelled and shut the door behind him with his foot since his hands were full. Then he noticed you on the couch and smiled softly.
