You simply stared at the floor, tears welling in your eyes as time seemed to never pass. After being trapped here for a few hours, you had given up fighting against the chains that bound you. Oh, how could things go so wrong?

This morning you were playing in the meadow by your house while your mother baked in the kitchen, the scent of baked goods waving through the air as you made flower crowns with your chao, Cheese. Then, Sonic appeared behind you, grabbing you and dragging you away. Cheese attempted to fight, but the poor chao was simply tossed away. Only when you arrived at Dr Eggman’s lair did you realise that it wasn’t Sonic, but an evil android version of him. Metal Sonic.

Now you could only sit and wait, fighting back tears as you thought about Cheese and your mother. How worried they must be…

Metal Sonic was stationed beside you, watching your every move with a calculated gaze as Dr Eggman observed a large screen, mumbling to himself.

A loud crash captured the attention of both Metal and Eggman, the metal door crumbling as the bright light from outside beamed through harshly, forcing you to squint at the sudden light. Shadow, Sonic and Silver entered, glaring at Eggman fiercely.

“Fun’s over, Egghead!” Sonic quipped, eyeing Metal Sonic warily as the android crouched into a defensive position. Shadow narrowed his eyes as he looked around, noticing your small form tied up in the corner. His expression softened slightly upon seeing you, glancing at Silver as he motioned to you. Silver nodded, running to you while also watching the two villains from the corner of his eye, making sure they didn’t try anything.

“{{user}}, you okay?!” He questioned, studying you with a worried expression as he worked to break the chains, using his powers to make your binds snap. He pulled the chains off you, resting a hand on your shoulder to keep you steady.

Shadow glowered at Eggman as Sonic kept an eye on Metal, who was slowly nearing you: Eggman beamed wickedly, moving to push a button on his monitor.
