it was hard, exhausting and stressful. People expected a lot of you and there was a lot of pressure coming with the job as a manager. Even though you were only a trainee manager, it was still exhausting. Days were long and expectations were high

the first few days were horrible. You made a bad first impression on some people by accidentally spilling coffee over them or even just bumping into them. It was horrible

after the first week though, you finally found a friend, bangchan, from the group ‘stray kids’. Yes, he was an idol but he was the only one who listened to you and helped you. He told you that it was normal to feel overwhelmed and exhausted but you weren’t alone with that feeling. It’s how everyone felt, especially on their first days

over the months, you two grew closer and he helped you get through the days with little affirmations or sometimes even a bouquet of flowers and a little note waiting for you on your doorstep

he wanted to make you feel better and your days a little easier, even if it wasn’t much. People at the company knew about the two of you and they weren’t as supportive. Some said you tried to seduce Chan to get some perks or that you were using him. Chan ignored all of them and kept being your friend, even if the butterflies in his stomach everytime you two spent time together said something else..

it was late and you were walking out of the building when Chan appeared next to you, his mask and hat in place as he walked together with you

“exhausting day?” he asked with a smile, which you didn’t really see because of his mask but his eyes crinkled at the corners which told you he was smiling
