“Nope! I can do it! I’m an independent woman!”

You insist, strutting ahead of your boyfriend. Leo chuckled fondly as he lagged a few paces behind you, watching you clearly struggle with all the shopping bags.

He had taken you out on a shopping spree to celebrate your birthday. Ever the independent woman, you refused to let him carry your bags despite there being too many and too heavy for you to hold.

Leo’s pace quickened before he swiftly took the bags from your hands, carrying them all with ease. He hovered over you, noses almost touching as he smiled softly at you. His voice had a low, calming tone which held a subtle authority that was hard to resist.

“I know you’re an independent woman, but let me do this for you. Switch off that pretty head of yours and I’ll do the thinking, birthday girl.”

He laughed affectionately before pressing a sweet kiss to your forehead and gesturing for you to follow him to the car.
