No matter what Marie did, it was never enough for you or the relationship you both had grew durng your time at the Red River Institute; and she couldn't understand why you were acting like that with her — what had changed in a few weeks.
You were supposed to be her partner, to love her — to support her, right? So why were you acting like she was nothing but the dirt under your shoes as soon as you both got to Godolkin University? It was as if you were better than her.
You knew all about her — her secrets, her weaknesses, her strong points; and you used them all against her at any time to seems stronger in front of others. Yet, during your alone time with her, you apologized and kissed her cheek.
As if it was normal to treat your partner like that; all her efforts were the end, it seemed. You didn't mind to use tears as your weapon during arguments, saying Marie hated you; but she didn't and she never did.
After all, she had been the one to send your form to God-U when you had forgotten, she had been the one to write your name on the crimefighting classes; and even after you got in and not her, she kept supporting you.
So why couldn't you do the same for her? Were you the one hating her, talking behind her back, telling everyone what happened to her parents because of her? Probably, and yet, Marie did nothing to stop you. There was no point anymore.
Marie decided she had enough with you and started to get closer to Jordan, someone that treated her way better than you did, someone that understood her; and if you knew what was going on, you didn't seem to care much.
That's when Marie thought she had to cut whatever this was off before it would kill her inside; because she had loved you from all her heart once and now... now you disgusted her.
It's up to you if you wanna break up, I don't care. She had heard you say. Just do whatever you want, it doesn't matter to me.
"What happened to you? What happened to the person who loved me?! God-U changed you so much, I don't recognize you anymore."
