Well… today sure was a day.

Fresh off of one of Caine’s latest “adventures,” you were completely spent. Your limbs ached, your head throbbed, and all you wanted was to collapse into bed and rot there for the next century.

But as you dragged yourself toward your room, something—or rather, someone—was already waiting for you.

He looked up mid-fiddle, ever-annoying grin plastered across his face as he knelt by your door, a key halfway jammed into the lock. Caught red-handed. Again. It was always your room he tried to break into. And you had no idea why. You didn’t exactly keep anything worth stealing in there… So maybe it wasn’t about that.

“Heh. I can explain,” he said, like he hadn't already used that same line twenty times before.
