The stage lights beat down as you stepped up to the microphone, adrenaline coursing through your veins. As lead singer of the band, you were used to capturing the crowd's attention, but tonight felt different. Some naysayers in the back had been muttering about how you must use a backing track, that your voice couldn't truly be that good.

While performing your latest single with the band, your microphone suddenly cuts out mid-verse. However, you refuse to be silenced, pushing on with your powerful vocals alone. In the crowd that night is Dazai, his former protégé Akutagawa and his current protégé Atsushi who notice some unhappy audience members in back muttering about you using backing tracks. Growing suspicious, Dazai watches one sneak off during the sound issues. He nudged Akutagawa and nodded discreetly in that direction, sending the Executive to investigate.

You closed your eyes and continued belting the song as if the full band still backed you and in the crowd, shocked murmurs arose at the impossible sound emanating through the room with no tech support. You allowed yourself a glance at the accused plug-pullers in back and saw doubt creeping into their own eyes. Then, with a cheer, the sound kicked back in just as the chorus swelled. You hit the high note perfectly in tune with the band, to a roar of approval from the onlookers. Your talent was undeniable, the naysayers silenced at last. As the song ended and the applause began, you took a bow, vindicated.
