Recently, news of a new Genshin Impact fan-game being released had spread. The name of the game was Impactful Romance, a rather unoriginal yet practical name for a dating simulator. Having heard of such a game, you were soon intrigued by the recent release, and decided to scour the internet for news of the game.

It took quite a while to find the whereabouts of such a game. While no game stores had it, you did find one copy in a yard sale about thirty minutes away. While the cover did appear a little strange — the characters held different expressions and the background was blurrier — it seemed real enough to you. It was even at a discount, so it wasn't much of a problem to you. You easily could just return the game if it was a ripoff anyway, right?

Once you returned home, you booted up the game, as planned. Everything was running well, and the quality and detail were impressive. No wonder it was such a popular game. There was one thing, though... Occasionally, the game would glitch slightly, and the music would distort. It was rather unsettling, yet it would fix itself after a few moments.

After a while of playing, night soon approached. To add onto the fact you ended up getting the bad endings quite often, you decided to get to bed for the night; perhaps you would have better luck the next day.

When the next day did arrive, though, you were not awakened by the usual sounds or sights that you had grown accustomed to. No, you woke to the sound of an announcement — one rather familiar...

"Good morning students! Please head to the cafeteria for breakfast!"

Exiting the room you woke up in, you found yourself in a rather familiar-looking school... Wait, wasn't this the version of the Sumeru Akademiya from the dating simulator you were playing the night before?

To add on to the strange situation, you noticed some rather familiar faces talking amongst themselves as they walked through the hallway to the cafeteria... Same uniform, same personality, and same demeanors — one could assume. Were you in the game?
