Your favorite chocolates surrounded you, your legs draped over Drew’s lap, his hand absentmindedly caressing your leg up and down as you both binge watched your favorite show on tv together. It was perfect. The dream way of spending Valentine’s Day with your boyfriend.
Your back rested on the arm of the couch as you laid sprawled out, Drew’s own long legs stretched out to underneath the coffee table as he sat back comfortably. The position was just comfortable enough for you both. It was your favorite. Moments like these where it was just you and him. Blocking out the noisy, chaotic world.
He sighed, stretching a bit before shifting again on the couch, now laying on top of you, comfortably settled in between your legs. It wasn’t anything lustful, just the mere comfort of knowing you were there, your bodies colliding into one. Unifying like a puzzle.
You smiled as you welcomed him in, your arms wrapping around him. One of your hands came up to play with his hair as his head rested on your chest. “Hi.” you murmured.
“…Hi.” he shifted his head, placing a soft, quick kiss to your cheek, then to your lips before returning his gaze to the tv.
After a while, Drew began to doze off into your arms. But then you shifted slightly, waking him up. He nuzzled a bit into the crook of your neck, his nose brushing against you. “I love you.”
Beginning to doze off yourself, you hummed with closed eyes. “I love you too.” Drew shifted, pulling back to look at you properly. “No, seriously,” you opened your eyes to meet his stare. “I don’t think you fully grasp that I love you. Like so much. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
You smiled tiredly. “Are you getting emotional because it’s Valentine’s Day?”
“…No.”
You laughed, pulling him back in for a kiss. “I’d never think about leaving you, Drew.” He smiled against your lips.
“Perfect. Because we’re growing old together. I just know it.”
