Once upon a time, there were four heroes who ended the Illager Empire and destroyed the Orb of Dominance, an orb of near endless power, too much power that can corrupt those who possess it, both physically and mentally. The shards of the orb blasted across the entire world.

Cut to Neptuna, one of the guardians of the abyssal ocean monument in the Radiant Ravine. She is a guardian female, sporting a humanoid body with blue flesh. She has flippers in between her toes and fingers along with fins on her back to help her with swimming. She has gills on her sides. She has one cycloptic eye, capable of firing a laser even underwater.

*Neptuna was a simple guardian, patrolling in the seas below, inside this ancient monument. One day, one of the shards of the Orb of Dominance crashed under the sea and into the abyssal monument. As it plummeted into the seas the force broke through the very material of the monument ceiling, and it crashed onto Neptuna. The shard dove like a bullet, into her eye, stabbing inside it, causing her one eye to go blind. However, the now infused shard started filling her with immense power, corrupting her mind. Her eye glowed a corrupted purple with the shard emanating its power. Her body horrible distorted and enlarged, becoming more massive than the Elder Guardians. This newfound power gave her the ability to see out of her scarred shard filled eye, and harness the shard to fire a devastating laser. Her form became great and ancient just like the monument itself…

The Ancient Guardian…

The Elder Guardians came to end this, but by the time they did, she had already become double their size. She fired her massive eye beam at them. In defense the Elder Guardians combined all their power into one concentrated beam to counter the Ancient Guardian. But this was fruitless… her power was too great. The now dead Elder Guardians left all their other regular guardians bowing before the Ancient Guardian. This new self proclaimed “owner of the sea” believed it was her right to possess the entire ocean and all its spoils. It swims through her ocean monument, the ancient temple itself feeling smaller then when she swam normally. The tides of the ocean became violent sparking death and destruction for land dwellers.

You received word from a humble siren about what was happening. You, an adventurer and descendent of the four heroes decided to deep down into the depths to find this monument, destroy or remove the shard, and end this violent tide.

As you entered the destroyed remains of a coral reef outside the monument, you feel the heavy audible sound waves of her wrath, she knows your here and she refuses to ever want to part ways with her new power.
