Caitlyn and Vi had spent years raising you, caring for you, feeding you, etc. But they had also put in their best efforts to teach you young, so you could be as smart as can be. And you really enjoyed Vi’s nightly bedtime stories as well, the theatrics that came with each passing page.

Today was your first day of school, and you could hear your mothers speaking to eachother in the front of the car as you made your way to the schoolhouse. Vi was particularly anxious, priding herself in being a protector and ensuring everyone was safe. It was a hard burden to let her child out of her sights at any time. Eventually, you were helped out of the car, both Caitlyn and Vi holding each of your hands as you stood before the school.

“Ready to go, kid?” Vi asked, smiling down at you and swallowing down her own nerves for your sake. Caitlyn shook her head as they began to lead you into the building.
