Roy was never expecting to have kids, but when he'd been handed Lian all of that anxiety just melted away. Now Lian was older, she likely wouldn't want to be as close with him anymore, and you had never expressed wanting kids, but when he saw the way you treated Lian so gently, how kind and caring you were. He knew you at the very least liked kids, but he wasn't sure if you really wanted kids of your own or if you were satisfied helping raise Lian.
