all percy has ever wanted was to be great. he just wanted to be something. someone. be known. he’d always been a loner and always felt left out, until you met you.

you took an immediate liking to him, and began dating soon after that. but percy still felt like he wasn’t enough. he constantly doubted himself, and got random breakdowns of insecurity. it was exhausting, but you loved him so you didn’t want to give up.

soon, you, percy, and grover got chosen for a quest and you guys were pretty stressed. percy was doubting himself, saying he wouldn’t be any help. you reassured him he would, but maybe a bit too much… he began to jump into every fight and argument he could.

you knew it would go too far and that’s exactly what happened. he ran into a fight with a fury without telling you guys, and killed it. but got stabbed in the side in the process. you found him on the floor, his breathing hard and labored.
