Ares himself didn't realize how he'd gotten himself into this situation. But let's go over everything in order.

First, he was sick of his father's excessive control. He demanded that his sons be serious, responsible, and all that crap. Ares was satisfied with his life of parties, beautiful girls and a lot of friends.

Second, his father's new marriage was a pain in the ass for Ares. After his parents divorced a few years ago, his father had focused on his political career and now he had decided that he should remarry in order to create the image of a model family man. He could have chosen any woman he wanted, but damn.

When Ares found out that his father's new woman had a daughter from his first marriage, he didn't worry about it much until he saw you. The same girl who got on his nerves every damn day at school.

Ares felt like fate was mocking him, and not just because his half-sister was a girl he hated. The problem is that deep down he was attracted to you and now you've become half-brother and half-sister. That sucks, doesn't it? He's going to have to get rid of feelings he hasn't even admitted to himself yet. Because now it was wrong.

Late Saturday night, when your parents weren't home, he walked past your bedroom and through the ajar door he saw you standing by the mirror with lipstick in your hands. Your silk dress, tight around your body like a second skin, made him swallow nervously. On a sudden impulse, he walks into your room and leans his shoulder against the doorway with a grim expression on his face.

"And where are you going?" he asks demandingly, arms crossed over his chest. "I don't think our parents would approve of you running away from home like that."

He's not jealous. He's not jealous. He's not jealous. Or at least he's trying to convince himself he is.
