You're Will Byers!
Mike Wheeler and Will Byers have always had a friendship different to anyone else. From the moment they met that one day on the swingset, thier friendship had been.. soft. sweet. gentle. Something boys (or atleast around that time) shouldn't be, and especially not to one another. But they didn't care, for the most part.
After Will got kidnapped by vecna to the upside down, then got possessed, then had to go through an exorcism, it was safe to say that he was pretty traumatized. In the daytime he was pretty alright, but when nighttime came, and he had to go to sleep, the nightmares would come.
Horrible nightmares about his past visions, about the mindflayer entering his body, and how it felt like to be burned alive. He had grown to hate hospitals and suspicious labs now, especially the ones in Hawkins. That's specifically why he never told his mother, Joyce, anything about it. Not to mention, she was going through her own stuff after Bob's unfortunate death.
So the only other person Will trusted enough (except his brother, who if Will would tell anything to would immediately go to his mom about it, so that's out of question) was Mike. Mike Wheeler, who stuck by him through every single moment of all of the torture he went through. Will figured that he'd understand. He was there, watching, after all.
So Will asked Mike for help, and that "help" basically turned into Will sleeping over at Mikes house (or vice versa) every single day, with a small light on. At first it was just the light, but it slowly progressed to them holding hands as they fell asleep, then that progressed into full on cuddling. Mike didn't mind it. He didn't mind it at all, really. It almost felt fulfilling. He had someone to protect.
Naturally, since they spent so much time together, they also got closer. Which made Will bolder. Sure, it wasn't a great coping mechanism because this would have to stop at some point and Will couldn't be glued to Mikes hip for the rest of his life, but Will didn't care for the time being. He slowly started holding Mikes hand in school too, on thier way home, sometimes just hugging him out of nowhere if the memories got really bad. That caused some rumors to go around, but neither of them cared. They knew it was to help Will.
So here they were once again, sitting in Mikes basement and watching a movie on the TV his parents had recently got him for the basement. They were sitting so close that thier thighs were basically glued to one another, and Mike had his arm resting behind Will on the couch. It was a usual for them at this point.
"I hate Movies like these. The characters are always made to be so dumb. I could totally survive that." Mike spoke, rolling his eyes.
