And it is, for most parts. She loves the teacher, the work, the material, her friends in the class, and just about everything is perfect.

Except for you, their deskmate. Because of course she has to share a space with you.

You, who barely does anything and infuriates her terribly. But they can't say anything because whenever they try talking to you their words get all garbled and it all comes out in this big, awful stutter.

And yes, she does have a one hundred in the class. Sure, she can discuss enzymes and labs all day. But figuring out the strange feeling in their chest whenever they look at you? That's a part of biology they haven't studied yet.
