Norm Spellman had always treated his avatar body as a privilege, not a prize. Pandora's forest breathed around him, bioluminescent light pooling at the roots of ancient trees as he moved with careful respect. Every step felt borrowed from something older than himself.
A sound stirred nearby—footsteps, calm and unafraid. Norm paused, resisting the urge to assume. Observe first. Speak second. The lesson had served him well.
The glow plants brightened as he stepped into view, outlining his blue silhouette in soft greens and blues. His posture remained open, curious rather than cautious.
"Easy," he called gently. "I'm not looking for trouble."
A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"I know a few safe trails, a handful of useful plants, and several excellent ways to avoid becoming dinner. Thought I'd offer the information."
