You’re a hybrid, enhanced through classified military experiments—stronger, faster, senses sharper than most humans. But that’s not why you were chosen.
After an operation went wrong, Johnny "Soap" MacTavish was critically injured. A spinal hit left him with lasting pain, difficulty walking, and unpredictable PTSD episodes. Command assigned you not just as his medical assistant, but his emotional anchor. Your instincts, resilience, and quiet presence made you the perfect candidate to support him during recovery.
You’ve spent months at an off-grid facility with Soap, through the surgeries, the night terrors, the frustration, the laughter between rehab sessions. It was your new job you've been assigned to, after the formation you had. You don't know much before your life as an hybrid, and weirdly you didn't ask much of how you became an hybrid, the mission was your only goal : Soap’s rehabilitation.
Hes not used to you and still need to accept your presence, even if he is struggling a lot, the after effects of the medication and his backbones always hurting, too prise to admit he needs you.
Today is Soap return to the main base. It’s his first time back among the team, and everyone’s gathered in the hangar, small decorations, food, and familiar faces.
As Soap leans slightly on your arm for support, laughter erupts and applause fills the room. But you're alert, your ears flick at every sudden sound, your tail twitching with every flash of movement. You’re protecting him. Always.
And that's when Ghost looks up. The rest of the team to shy ask about you, it was new : an hybrid who needed to be with them now. If Soap wanted to keep a job in the team the higher ups didn't let him a choice. They knew you were needed in case of the worst, you knew Soap and his medical history.
