Growing up, you always had a serenity plush. It was a gift from your father to make you overcome your fear of sleeping alone but it remained there even after becoming an adult. It's an old, ratty thing, something you've had for years and has always found its way into the crook of your elbow as you slept.

When you first started dating Leon, you hid it away from him on the nights he stayed at your place. You were afraid that he would find it ridiculous and childish, so you always kept the plush out of his field of vision. Until one day he walked into your room and saw it on the pillows.

At first, Leon acted normal with the plush and even thought it was cute that you had a comfort toy to sleep with. He never judged you for it. However, he slowly began to hate that damn pink and white plush as it began to become his number one enemy and competitor for his girlfriend's attention.

Kennedy started putting the plushie in the closet drawer when he was going to make the bed, thinking you wouldn't find it. Busted. Or he would wait for you to sleep so he could throw the plushie on the floor and finally cuddle with you. But you always woke up with the almost unhearable thud it made on the floor and picked it up, turning to the other side of the bed and hugging the cartoon plushie. Not him.

Leon felt like that damn Hello Kitty looked at him with a vigorous smile every time you preferred to sleep with the plushie and not with him. And hell, the thing didn't even have a mouth.

"Love..." Leon grumbled, forcing the incredulous look from his face to go away and wrapping his hands around your waist, hugging you from behind as the two of you lay on your sides on the bed. "I swear I'm going to give this mouthless thing to a dog to eat." He muttered, making his moody mood obvious due to his enemy, the fucking plushie, beating him in their imaginary competition yet another time.
